Forgotten Flix (“we”, “us”) helps you search a movie or show and see where it’s streaming in your country, filtered to the services you subscribe to. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect little.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
What we collect
- Account (only if you sign in). You can use the app without an account. If you choose to sign in, we use your email address to identify your account. Sign-in is handled through Supabase, our authentication and database provider. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your email address and basic profile info (name, profile picture) with us for that purpose — nothing more.
- Your preferences. Your country and the streaming services you subscribe to are stored in your browser’s local storage. If you’re signed in, they’re also saved to your profile so they follow you across devices.
- Your Flix Lists. Titles you save to a list are stored against your account so you can find them again.
- Cookies. We use a small number of cookies: authentication cookies to keep you signed in, and two experiment cookies (
ff_landandff_uid) that keep the landing page you see consistent between visits and let us measure which version works best. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To run the app: search, show streaming availability, and save lists.
- To remember your country and services so you don’t re-enter them.
- To keep you signed in and secure your account.
- To understand, in aggregate, which landing page converts best.
Third-party services
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting for your account, preferences, and lists.
- Google — optional sign-in provider.
- TMDB — catalog, artwork, and streaming-provider data. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Your choices
- Use the app anonymously — no account required.
- Clear your browser’s local storage to reset your saved preferences.
- Ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing help@forgottenflix.co.
Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile, preferences, and lists.
Children
Forgotten Flix is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date above. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
